I write for newspapers and magazines all over the world, as well as helping businesses and organizations build their brands through targeted, timely, audience-driven communication.

Scholar

For more than two decades at colleges and universities, I taught students how to craft their personal, academic, and professional stories. I also work closely with my community to teach the value of writing in all aspects of public and private life.

As an academic writer, I research living authors, contemporary American literature, film, and culture, posthumanism, and the culture of the digital age. I currently serve as Senior Editor for American Book Review, one of the country’s leading review journals, examining independent and small press literature since 1977.
